Choosing A Handbag Color
It can sometimes seem overwhelming when shopping for handbags because they are made in so many different colors and patterns. In your wardrobe you should have some handbags in basic classic colors like black, dark brown or light brown. Once you have your classic bags that will match with any outfit you can also play with differently colored and textured bags that may not necessarily match with anything but are fun to carry with the right outfit.
If you are just beginning to build your handbag collection it is important to start off with a basic black handbag. A handbag in basic black is a good thing to have because black matches with almost anything. If you own any black clothing at all the look can be pulled together by carrying a black handbag. Deep brown leather handbags and light brown leather handbags are also classic colors that are good to have because they can be paired with a pair of brown boots or a jacket of a similar color. Even a dark brown jacket paired with a light brown leather bag looks tonally pretty.
If you already have the basic black and brown colored handbags it is fine to play around with color, texture and hardware. Light grey suede bags with fringe can look great with a bohemian look and a bright yellow leather hobo with hardware and studs can look edgy and bright at the same time. The fun and different handbags are great to play around with but it is essential to start with the basics so that you are not caught going out to lunch in a taupe outfit with a bright yellow studded bag.
